  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    The OCTAL Petrochemical LLC, located in Salalah is planning to expand their plant in order to increase the production capacity . The proposed plant expansion will take place in a land of about 43 ha within Salalah Free Zone located very close to Salalah port. In order to getting approval from Salalah Free Zone and other concerned authorities, a traffic impact assessment study is required to be carried out to assess the impact of generated traffic from the development on the surrounding road network system. Therefore, OCTAL appointed Renardet SA & Partners to carry out the required traffic impact assessment study.

    2) Data collection including comprehensive traffic surveys
    3) Existing condition analysis
    4) Trip generation & parking generation
    5) Trip distribution and route assignment
    6) Future conditions analysis
    7) Submission of final study report with conclusions and recommendations
    8) Obtaining approvals from the concerned authorities on the final study report
