The Tourism Development Plan of Al Rodhah aims to transform the area into a new tourist destination using an appropriate land-use plan and new destinations by targeting regional and international tourists and using its strategic location as a frontier zone and a central point for excursions to United Arab Emirates. The area has unique natural features including magnificent sand dunes, rugged mountains and many oasis and settlements that exhibit local traditions and cultural heritage. Al Rodhah is located in the northern frontier zone of Oman between Oman and United Arab Emirates. The approximate total area of Al Rodhah is 154.5 square kilometers. The main objective is to create a new destination to serve a tourism gateway to the greater experience of Oman while maintaining and enhancing its cultural integrity.

1) Prepare a draft and final tourism land use plan for the area
2) Land use plan explaining purpose, background etc
3) Tourism development program including description of the land use program (i.e. area devoted to each land use plan)
4) Transportation planning describing the transport systems including description of road hierarchy
5) Infrastructure planning describing the concept of each infrastructure system graphics as appropriate
6) Phasing plan of each task
7) Based on Client comments on draft Land-use Plan, prepare and present final Master Plan.
