Narrative Description of the Project:

The project envisages the construction of 1 No Underpass and 5 No Flyovers as identified as under: Wadi Kabir Flyover: the scope of work consists of construction of 9-Span Flyover which includes NB & SB Structure of Width 11.1m each. Underpass/Flyover (near Sheraton Hotel): the scope of work consists of construction of Underpass of 630m Length. Flyover (near Star Cinema): the scope of work consists of construction of 9-Span Flyover which includes NB & SB Structure of Width 11.1m each. Flyover Widening (Matrah Interchange): the scope of work consists of Widening of 5-Span Flyover which includes widening of structure Width 8.05m on one side. Darsait Bridge Widening: the scope of work consists of Widening of 8-Span Bridge which includes WB & EB Structure each carries two lanes of traffic. Darsait Underpass Bridge Reconstruction: the scope of work consists of construction of 32m Span Bridge and Dismantling and removal of existing Underpass Bridge & construction of Five Approach Ramps. Pedestrian Overpass Bridges (2 Nos): the scope of works consists of construction of two Spans 15-25m Pedestrian Bridges. Works include road widening works and associated utility diversion/protection; development of Junctions at Baladiyat, Al Burj & Al Jamme Interchange; Widening of Qurum Height Roads.

Description:

Design Review and Construction Supervision which include the following:
1) Assist the Employer in Contract Administration and in Contract Management
2) Provide guidance and direction to the Contractor
3) Furnish all necessary ground and topographic data, including setting out of control points
4) Issue the interim payment certificate based on the progress at site and according to the conditions of the contract
5) Review and recommend for approval revision (if any) of Contractor's work schedule
6) Establish standardized Quantity and Quality control programs (Quality Plan)
7) Establish Safety plan
8) Review and approve Contractor's working drawings and temporary works proposals
9) Provide supervision of works to ensure Contractor's compliance with the specs and contractual obligations
10) Notify the Employer about Contractor's claims and provide the Client with the evaluation
11) Prepare variation orders, evaluate request of time extension
12) Keep the Client informed about progress and problems or potential problems
13) Coordination with Local Authorities and Third Parties involved in the works
