  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    The Scope of Works comprises: a) dualization of about 39 Km of the existing Barka - Nakhal single carriagewy road from 7 Km after Barka r/a to Wadi Mistal Junction; b) repairing and asphalting of about 40 Km of the existing single carriageway road from Wadi Mistal junction to Rustaq; c) design of a roundabout in Al Awabi. In the dual carriageway portion 4 roundabouts and 7 interchanges has been designed and about 25 Km of service roads to accomodate the local traffic movements. The design comprises also the construction of 2 wadi bridges, about 100 multicells box culverts, 2 pedestrian overpasses and 5 pedestrian underpasses.

    2) Traffic Study
    3) Perform a hydrology study and hydraulic design to determine the drainage structures
    4) Study alternative alignment in the hilly area through aerial photographs and mapping
    5) Prepare preliminary design and tender documents
    6) Coordination with concerned authorities to obtain their approval of the design
    7) Prepare the final design and tender doucments
    8) Construction Supervision
