The design brief has been derived as a result of the conclusions of the traffic study report ?Facilitating Traffic Flow within the Mina Al Fahal Land? and other requirements specified by PDO. Roads to be upgraded comprise Maydan Al Fath Street, Mina Al Fahal Street, Seih Al Maleh Street. Roads shall be designed to incorporate the middle lane proposal to accommodate the ?reversible lane? management concept in the case of Maydan Al Fath Street and to facilitate left-turns in the case of Mina Al Fahal Street. Seih Al Maleh Street will be designed to interface with the dual carriageway outside Gate 2. This means designing a suitable transition between the section outside the Gate and inside the Gate. The two main intersections (Maydan Al Fath Street with Mina Al Fahal Street) and (Seih Al Maleh Street with Mina Al Fahal Street) will be designed as roundabouts. Petrol tanker parking near Gate 2 as per scheme proposal. Associated relocation/protection of existing utilities. Pedestrian overpasses study and design.
