  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    International Contractor requested to evaluate alternative proposals for the construction of a section of the project "Dualization of Bidbid ? Sur Road Section 1 ? Package 1A" , in the section between km 18+000 and km 40+800, where the alignment under construction crosses a very rugged area. The scope of the study was to evaluate feasibility and cost estimate of three alternative options to be comapared to the Contract Alignment.

     

  • Description:

    Three different alternative alignments were identified and studied by means of digital maps. Alignments were then verified at site for feasibility. During the study, after coordination with the Client, one of the three corridors was selected and final report prepared with evaluation of pros and cons.
    The proposed Alignment envisaged the construction of two tunnels with total length of about 4,000 linear meters reducing the quantities of excavation and minimizing the environmental impact.
