  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    Galfar was awarded the contract to construct the Multi Purpose hall within the Bait al Barakah complex. During excavation cracking was noted in adjacent structures and Renardet was appointed to investigate the cracks, report on the propbabale cause and propose mitigating measures.

     

  • Description:

    1) Analyse the factual geotechnical reports and provide an engineering interpretation providing design parameters to be used in settlement analysis of adjacent structures
    2) Inspect adjacent structures and report on condition
    3) Perform a level survey of the area and report on any settlement noted
    4) Repeat the survey exercise to assess whether there is any ongoing settlement
    5) Perform a geotechnical analysis based on the existing geotechnical information to predict current settlement and predicted settlement
    6) Compare theoretical settlement with actual results obtained from the surveys
    7) Provide a theoretical model describing the observed events and probable causes
    8) Provide mitigating measures
