Scope of Work:
• Data collection - Consultant start investigating the site by collecting the relevant current available data. Based on the already existing data, the Consultant will try to obtain supplementary information from the relevant authorities and other sources.
• Site Visit - The Consultant to arrange a visit in Liaison with the Client to confirm the understanding of the requirements of the Client and the scope of work. Identification of all additional required information. Preparation of the Concept Design Report and submission to the Client for perusal and comment.
• Topographic Surveys - The area comprising the works will be surveyed and accurate contour plans to WGS 84 coordinates will be drawn up.
• Design Criteria - During the review period of the Concept Design Report the design team will compile a report detailing the proposed design criteria and operational parameters of the various aspects of the project.
• Hydrology - The hydrology computations of the Floods of the wadi water will be based on the design concepts and formulation given in Client Guidelines for Flood computations, and the Highway Design Manual (HDM) of Sultanate of Oman (2010).
• Preliminary Design - Based on our initial assessment of the work we believe the following aspects will be studied during this stage - Summary of Design Criteria - Detailed topography and site mapping - Hydrologic analysis - Hydraulic analysis and identification of active channels - Diversion structures - Analysis and design of Wall - Material sources and costs of construction materials - Preliminary drawings indicating the layouts, positions and leading dimensions of the various elements - Initial Value Engineering Workshop - Cost estimates (including costs for long-term performance and maintenance of the proposed scheme) - Economic evaluation.
• Detailed Design - The detailed Design Stage will commence after approval of the Preliminary Design Report and the selection of the recommended project components to be constructed.
• Preparation of Tender Documents
• Tender Evaluation
• Construction Supervision
