Project Location:
Design of upgrading of existing al Batinah dual carriageway for the following Sections:
- From Bait al Barakah Roundabout to al Aqr Roundabout (approx. 230 km)
- From al Aqr Roundabout to Khatmat Malaha (Oman – UAE Border) (approx. 22 km)
- From al Aqr roundabout to Al Wajajah (Oman – UAE Border) (approx. 25 km)
According to the TOR, the Scope of Work is detailed as follows:
- Carryout a comprehensive study for the rehabilitation of the existing dual carriageway with respect to the pavement, the drainage structures and upgrading them as per OHDS 2010 in terms of new design life and projected traffic count and axle loads
- Carryout a study for the need of widening the Highway from (4) lanes to (6) lanes
- Upgrading the Highway to all-weather road
