Public Authority for Electricity and Water
The PAEW commissioned RENARDET SA to investigate the routing of stormwater through the site under existing site conditions as well as recommend a stormwater conveyance system that will enable maximum use of the site area while ensuring upstream and downstream neighbours are not adversely affected by the development. The solutions recommended is to construct an 8 m wide reinforced concrete channel across the south-western corner of the site. The channel is capable of conveying the 50 year flood event and has a capacity that exceeds the capacity of the culvert draining the catchment at the road along the northern boundary of the site. In addition the channel walls will be capable of supporting the required loads from development over it to ensure the available area on the property is maximised.
